Our Black African Civilization of Ancient Egypt Kemet & Nubia
Myth, Ritual, Mysticism
The Genesis Museum of International Black Culture is currently presenting an exhibition of Black African Ancient Egypt, which was originally known as the Kemet and Nubia civilizations—their myths, rituals and mysticism.
“The history of Black Africa will remain suspended in air and cannot be written correctly until African historians dare to connect it with the history of Egypt.”
- Cheikh Anta Diop, “
The African Origin of Civilization: Myth or Reality” (1974)
Twelve thousand years ago, a Black African civilization developed in the Hapi Valley of North East Africa (along the Nile River); only to emerge as the greatest multi-ethnic African civilization throughout the known world. They established a society and culture that would maintain world dominance for more than five thousand years. They were able to sustain and maintain their civilization longer than any other civilization in the history of humankind—(B.C.E., as well as, A.C.E.); which was based upon the African spiritual philosophy Maat (truth, justice, balance, order, righteousness) and the African spiritual religion Shetaut Neter (Egyptian Mysteries). By blending ‘Myth, Ritual and Mysticism’ with their philosophy and religion; they created and maintained a culture base on the highest ideals of spirituality, humanism, respect for all life, the planet, the environment and the universe.
This Black African Culture of the ancient Egyptian civilization or, as these African people called themselves Kemetian, would introduce to the world the sciences, mathematics, geometry, religion, astronomy, astrology, cosmology, cosmogony, 365-day calendar, art, writing, music, medicine, agriculture, engineering, construction, urbanization planning, domestication, husbandry, social strata, etc.,—a model that would be emulated by other cultures and societies throughout the world, and influence even contemporary Western civilizations of Europe and the Americas.
This exhibit demonstrate a complex, highly sophisticated, well organized society which lasted from 5,500 B.C.E until 30 B.C.E.; longer than any other civilization in the history of humankind.
Visitors to our Museum will be transported visually to another place and time. An experience this magnificently breathtakingly beautiful embodied in splendor, residing in a glorious environment that was the hallmark of this great African civilization.
Experience this marvelous and fascinating journey back in time when African people lead the human race and set the standard for future civilizations.
